FOAMGLAS® Perinsul insulation blocks are the only solution on the market that offers 100% protection against thermal bridges and heat loss at critical points in a building which are subject to structural loading.
 
FOAMGLAS® Perinsul creates a connection between cavity wall insulation and the underground wall insulation, used as the first row under the outer leaf of a cavity wall, between the wall insulation and floor insulation and as the first row under a single skin wall.
 
 
Perinsul has a declared compressive strength at breakpoint of 2.9N/mm² and has a thermal conductivity of 0.055 W/mK. In accordance with British Standards the application of a safe working load is calculated using a safety factor between the range of 2.5 and 3.1 depending on the application of the product.
 

Perinsul is easily laid in a bed of wet cement based mortar without any mortar between the block ends.
